Section 15 of the Property (Relationships) Act 1976 allows for one party to be compensated if the income and living standards of the other party are likely to be significantly higher due to the division of functions in the relationship. This module will consider the key recent cases and awards pertaining to economic disparity following the Supreme Court’s decision of Scott v Williams in 2017. End of Life Choice Act - 1 CPD hours

The End of Life Choice Act 2019 gives people experiencing unbearable suffering from a terminal illness the option of legally requesting medical assistance to end their lives. The Act comes into force on 6 November 2021.

This module will discuss the Act and provide medical and legal perspectives on it, as well as highlight existing advance care planning options when advising about end-of-life matters. This will help you ensure that your clients are safeguarded with advice and guidance in what will very likely be extremely difficult circumstances.
