This webinar will look into undue influence in the context of succession law. It will explore the legal basis for this doctrine, and then consider the way in which lawyers can:

  • Take steps to identify risks of undue influence
  • Use appropriate medical professionals to determine whether a client may be at risk of undue influence
  • Respond appropriately when a risk of undue influence is identified
  • Mitigate professional risks, and respond to claims of undue influence in court proceedings (in light of recent case law).

The presentation will assist you to protect your clients and ensure you discharge your own professional duties with regard to this type of claim.

If you wish to do so you must advise CLE New Zealand Law Society in writing of the change. CLE reserves the right to close registrations, and cancel or reschedule an event as necessary. Where an event is cancelled by CLE, a full refund is payable.
