Intellectual property (IP) is one of the most valuable assets in any business, but it is often overlooked as IP can be seen as expensive and complicated. Business owners can lose their competitive advantage by failing to understand the importance of IP to their success, leading to unclear ownership, unenforceable rights, and copycats stealing ideas. Learn how to avoid common mistakes businesses make in clarifying ownership of their IP, from before they launch through to the exit from their business.

Topics covered will include:

  • The various forms of IP that may exist when launching or running a business
  • How to undertake IP clearance searches to avoid conflict with others
  • The key elements of an IP strategy needed to support IP ownership and business success.
