Drafting New Trust Deeds 2024
Add to CPD Planner

Modern trust deeds can be challenging to draft. They are increasingly bespoke depending on the context in which the trust is being settled and the assets the trust is intended to hold.

This webinar will address key matters for advisors to be aware of in light of the Trusts Act 2019 and focus on common drafting issues and drafting in the following contexts:

  • Trusts established primarily for asset protection or relationship property protection reasons
  • Trusts settled during an existing relationship which contemplate what will take place on separation
  • Trusts which are expected to hold commercial or farming assets (where there may be greater risks for professional trustees).

Learning objectives

By attending this webinar you will:

  • Be better able to advise clients in relation to establishing a trust structure fit for their needs.
  • Have more options for preparing a bespoke trust structure for your clients.
  • Better understand the Trusts Act 2019 and its applicability in the drafting context.

Who should attend

All trusts & estates practitioners as well as those working in civil litigation, family and property law.
