When a relationship ends, what happens to property that is not in the hands of either party? This seminar will explore the legal and practical complexities of pursuing remedies under the Property (Relationships) Act 1976 (PRA) in respect of property held in trusts and companies. While the PRA is primarily concerned with property owned by parties to a relationship, significant challenges arise when assets have been alienated.
This session will be of particular value to practitioners engaged in relationship property disputes involving complex asset-holding structures, including trusts and family companies. It will also be relevant to trust and commercial lawyers seeking to understand the reach and limits of PRA remedies.
