This seminar will explore the current law and some aspects of practice in this area including recent disciplinary cases. It covers material important for all lawyers working in any form of advocacy.

• Terminating the retainer and withdrawal from acting

	Paul Collins Shortland Chambers, Auckland Paul has wide experience in areas of professional discipline and regulation within the legal profession. He has prosecuted numerous cases in the Disciplinary Tribunal and regularly appears in the High Court and Court of Appeal in cases relating to professional responsibility and general civil matters.
	Richard Fowler KC Capital Chambers, Wellington Richard spent 30 years as a litigation partner at a national law firm before transitioning to become a barrister sole in 2011 and took silk in 2013. His expertise extends across several areas of law including media law & defamation, public & environmental law and trusts & estates litigation.

Cancellation and refund policy

You may cancel your registration eight working days in advance of an event, and you will receive a refund less a 25% administration fee. If you cancel less than eight working days in advance of the event, no refund is payable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. If you wish to do so you must advise CLE in writing of the change. NZLS CLE Ltd reserves the right to close registrations and cancel or reschedule an event as necessary. Where an event is cancelled by CLE, a full refund is payable.
