This workshop will focus on the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 (PPPR Act) proceedings. Whether you’re seeking appointment to the Lawyer for Subject Person list (LSP list) or refining your current practice, this workshop aims to assist you in developing your skills so that you can act, advocate, and lead with confidence.

Topics will include:

  • Legislative framework and court procedures
  • Role and responsibilities of the Lawyer for Subject Person
  • Effective engagement with the Public Trust
  • Understanding the roles of other practitioners and community agencies
  • Insights into age-related disabilities and illnesses
  • Addressing complex and emerging issues in practice.

Two-part format – attend one or both

Part A:
Designed for all family lawyers interested in learning more about PPPR Act proceedings. The morning session will also serve as a refresher for those already on the LSP list.

Part B:
For those wanting to learn more about the specifics of the role of Lawyer for Subject Person, including some of the challenging aspects to the role. The afternoon session is ideal for those already on the LSP list.

Full Day:
Attend both parts to take advantage of the full-day learning and save!

Cancellation and refund policy

You may cancel your registration eight working days in advance of an event, and you will receive a refund less a 25% administration fee. If you wish to do so you must advise CLE New Zealand Law Society in writing of the change. CLE reserves the right to close registrations, and cancel or reschedule an event as necessary.
