The law of torts continues to evolve at a fast pace and it is important that you are as up-to-date as possible. The last seminar on this subject was held in 2005 and there have been many significant developments since then.

This module will update you on developments in negligence, especially around the issue of leaky/defective buildings; vicarious liability, particularly in relation to sexual abuse; economic torts in light of OBG v Allan; compensatory and exemplary damages; developments in the limitation of actions; and particular issues in tort law that arise in the context of litigation.
