When families separate and issues around the care of children arise, you are often their first port of call. This session will provide a simple step-by-step guide about how to have an introductory conversation around the care of children when parents separate.

1.45pm – 2.45pm –  Practical responses to compensation claims under the Agreement for Sale and Purchase

Compensations are not only complicated, but they can also have unforeseen consequences. This session will be an opportunity to better understand the clause, how and when it should be applied and discuss alternative remedies and solutions.

Upcoming legislation will bring about changes in employment law that both you and your clients need to know as employers and employees. In this session Steph will update you on topics including pay equity, personal grievances, contracting, health and safety and holidays.

3.50pm – 4.50pm – Estates update – intestacy issues

This session will focus on recent developments including the increase in the threshold amount, particular difficulties and litigation which intestacies can give rise to, and the effects of the decision in Rimmer v Wilton on estate planning.
