We may think we write clearly – but do we? Most people tend to write without thinking much about their readers.
It’s easy to recognise plain English when we read it. Producing it is another matter. This workshop offers you a new focus. The result will be plain English in less time and an easy way to build relationships with your clients.
In this workshop you’ll discover what modern professional writers do. Writing the modern, professional way will help your firm stand out in a competitive market. It will almost certainly be easier than you think because you’ll be focusing on what really makes a difference and developing your skills, not listening to long lists of tips and hints.
You will learn:
- A writing method that sums up what modern professional writers do
- An editing method to help you review your writing almost as fast as you can read
- A quick way to organise complex information
- Some tools from the science of (honourable) persuasion.
You’ll end the workshop a more confident writer with a skill you can use for the rest of your career.
- Learn a writing/editing method you can have for the rest of your life.
- Spend less time writing, editing and explaining to clients what you meant.
- Help you/your firm stand out in a competitive market.
Practical and interactive. This workshop is divided into two half-day sessions held on two consecutive days. In between the sessions you’ll have time to prepare a small amount of homework (20 mins) to reinforce the content of the first workshop session.
Bring along a typical example of your writing. We’ll ask you to take a fresh look at it during the workshop (Remove anything confidential from the sample before you come).
