Introduction

In this paper, we cover:

  •  Protected disclosures and whistleblowing processes – which appear to be growing in number and complexity, particularly following the enactment of the Protected Disclosures (Protection of Whistleblowers) Act 2022 (2022 Protected Disclosures Act).
  • An update on recent case law relating to redundancy and restructuring processes.
  • Our assessment of the proposed reforms to employment legislation (based on what we know to date), and their potential implications for employees, employers, unions, and employment lawyers.

Each of these topics could form the basis of an entire employment law update in their own right.

In keeping with the “update” nature of this seminar, we have focused on recent, topical developments and practical implications, as well as providing our thoughts on potential future evolution in these topics.
