Registrations closed 12pm 17 April.  We are unfortunately unable to accept late registrations for this webinar.

Hear directly from the Chief Justice and Heads of Bench on what the future holds for an interim return to court services and proceedings.

This webinar is suitable for any lawyers dealing with court matters.

COVID-19 has impacted New Zealand society in many ways, but in particular access to justice in the operation of our Courts.

The Law Society has worked closely with the Chief Justice, other members of the judiciary and Ministry of Justice officials to bring you up to date information from only trusted sources.

There has been a great deal of information to absorb and the situation remains fluid. This Q and A session provides an opportunity for the Chief Justice and the Heads of Bench to address questions raised by the profession and provide the most recent information available which will follow the Government announcement on Thursday about what will occur at Alert Level 2 and 3.

As advised on 10 April, attendees are invited to submit their questions ahead of time. Please email these questions to [email protected] by no later than 9am on Wednesday 15 April 2020.

Learning Objectives

  • Understanding the impact of the COVID-19 lockdown on NZ courts and hearings;
