Trust litigation abounds. This seminar will examine some of the key issues that practitioners are experiencing when faced with disputes in this area and consider the implications for practitioners on a practical level when advising their clients. 

This seminar will include:

  • An overview of where the courts are heading and the latest trends with trusts
  • The most recent developments relating to costs of litigation
  • Division of trust assets in the context of separations
  • Disclosure of information in trust disputes.

Vanessa is a litigator, practising almost exclusively in trust and estate disputes, including where relationship property is involved. CHANDRA Sharon 2022 Sharon Chandra
Barrister, Bankside Chambers, Auckland

Sharon practises in all areas of family law, with a specialist focus on relationship property and trust litigation. She is a contributor to Westlaw and has presented at a number of legal seminars held by NZLS CLE and other organisations. In addition to her appointment as a regional representative of the NZLS Family Law Section, Sharon has published family law articles in various publications and is interviewed by media outlets to comment on family law issues. According to Doyles Guide 2021, she has been named as one of the recommended leading family and relationship property lawyers in New Zealand.

Cancellation and refund policy

You may cancel your registration eight working days in advance of an event, and you will receive a refund less a 25% administration fee. If you cancel less than eight working days in advance of the event, no refund is payable. If you register for an in-person event and do not produce a current My Vaccine Pass, you will be denied entry, and no refund is payable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. If you wish to do so you must advise CLE in writing of the change. NZLS CLE Ltd reserves the right to close registrations and cancel or reschedule an event as necessary. Where an event is cancelled by CLE, a full refund is payable.
