The landscape around vaccinations and the workplace continues to move at a rapid pace. This seminar will arm you with important considerations of the new COVID-19 legislation, and the ways in which employers can justify mandatory vaccinations for workers. You will be brought up to speed with New Zealand vaccination cases from the end of 2021, as well as gain an understanding of overseas case law trends, including in relation to the impact of Omicron.  

This seminar will include:

  • A discussion of the ways employers can justify mandatory vaccinations in the workplace
  • Important considerations of the new COVID-19 legislation, in particular the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Amendment Order (No 6) 2021 and the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Protection Framework) Order 2021
  • Key developments in New Zealand case law regarding mandatory vaccinations
  • The application of statutory and common law principles in mandating vaccination in the workplace and addressing non-compliance, including good faith obligations in the context of vaccinations
  • Discussion of overseas trends, in relation to mandatory vaccinations in the workplace, including with the emergence of Omricon.

Cancellation and refund policy

You may cancel your registration eight working days in advance of an event, and you will receive a refund less a 25% administration fee. If you cancel less than eight working days in advance of the event, no refund is payable. If you register for an in-person event and do not produce a current My Vaccine Pass, you will be denied entry, and no refund is payable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. If you wish to do so you must advise CLE in writing of the change. NZLS CLE Ltd reserves the right to close registrations and cancel or reschedule an event as necessary. Where an event is cancelled by CLE, a full refund is payable.
