Employment issues can be extremely stressful for all concerned and it is important that you are able to provide your clients with effective advice in this area whatever side you are assisting. The presenters will take you through an overview of the main areas of employment law that arise in day to day practice and reference practical examples and cases, to provide you with a sound understanding of the principles of typical employment practice.

This seminar will include:
  • An overview of core entitlements for employees, including commonly arising issues with the Minimum Wage Act and the Holidays Act
  • Collective and individual employment agreements
    • What is the difference?
    • What are different legal requirements?
  • Personal grievances and access to information
    • When can a PG be raised?
    • What is the process for raising and responding to a PG?
    • Triangular employment
    • Requests for information under the Privacy Act 2020
  • Case law update.

She brings an extensive insight into the practical implications of employment relationship problems for her clients.

Cancellation and refund policy

You may cancel your registration eight working days in advance of an event, and you will receive a refund less a 25% administration fee. If you cancel less than eight working days in advance of the event, no refund is payable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. If you wish to do so you must advise CLE in writing of the change. NZLS CLE Ltd reserves the right to close registrations, and, cancel or reschedule an event as necessary. Where an event is cancelled by CLE, a full refund is payable.
