From the Chair
The law and education continues to be highly relevant and important subject for senior administrators and Trustees working in the school sector. Legal literacy and legal risk management have become essential tools to avoiding litigation. Being well informed about legal issues in schools removes the fear factor and mitigates against the substantial and personal cost of getting it wrong. Education Law 2018 has brought together not only experts in law but also those with a firm understanding of how schools are managed and governed. Real time scenarios in school settings will be analysed and discussed. There is no doubt that the education sector has become more litigious, accountable and subject to greater legal scrutiny. We have secured a very experienced line up of education law experts who will make the day both informative and practical. Education Law 2018 is designed to provide practical and timely advice to those working in this context. I urge you to take a day out of your busy schedule to become better informed and acquainted with the legal context of schools.
