Criminal Procedure Act 2011 – the first changes![]() Registrations have now closed for this webinar. The Criminal Procedure Act (which started life as the Criminal Procedure (Reform and Modernisation) Bill) has been labelled by some as “the most significant reform in criminal procedure in decades”. Most of it is likely to commence in early 2013, but some provisions apply as from 5 March 2012. Criminal lawyers must know about these imminent changes – particularly because of the on-going attention given to name suppression by the media, various commentators, the public and politicians. Presenters:
Judge Davidson, Wellington District Court, Wellington
Mark Lillico, Crown Law Office, Wellington
