Property Law Conference 2012

From the Chair
The events of 2011 in Canterbury have provided an enormous number of challenges for lawyers across the country. Much has been learned and the way practices will operate in the future has changed. The need to embrace the latest technologies and a re-thinking of the physical needs of a practice are the key changes.

Adaptability and flexibility are the hallmarks of operating successfully in the post-earthquake environment. Coupled with the changes in practice operation are the significant number of legislative reforms of the past two years and the pending introduction of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education. These all add up to the need to keep up with your practice and where the law is going.

This year’s conference has been designed with these issues in mind. I hope that you will enjoy the 2012 conference, make the most of the professional development opportunities and socialise with your colleagues. This should be an enjoyable and thought provoking break from the daily grind.

We look forward to seeing you at the Conference.

Chair: Andrew Logan, Mortlock McCormick Law, Christchurch
